The University of Split with the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism and together with partner institutions - University of Malaga (Spain), Hochschule der Medien (Germany), Impact Hub Stuttgart (Germany), Entrepreneurship Center Split and Preneurz.Amsterdam (Netherlands), is implementing a project called "University Green Digital HUB" whose main goals are to strengthen the digital, green and entrepreneurial skills of students, university startups and university staff as well as to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in the field of teaching for digital and green transition.
Project partners met on October 27th and 28th at University of Split, Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, for a kick-off project meeting.
Faced with the challenges of the green and digital transition and rapid changes in the labor market, the partners will work to transform higher education institutions in order to improve their compliance with the economic environment and provide the necessary education and skills to their students.
Through the "University Green Digital HUB" project, a set of activities will be carried out, such as the development of a education program in the field of digital, green and entrepreneurial skills, the development of a framework for digital and green transition based on the analysis of the mentioned skills, the implementation of a pilot program, the development of a support program for startups in the field of green and digital innovations.
As a result of the project, an international University Green Digital HUB will be established, where students, staff and university startups will be given support for developing digital, green and entrepreneurial skills.
The main outputs of the project:
developed and implemented DGE education program with target groups
developed and implemented DGE Knowledge factory, web platform for e-learning, knowledge exchange and dissemination of project results
developed and implemented Greenpreneur startup factory program, support program for university startups in areas of green and digital innovation
It is important to emphasize that students who participate in the mentioned programs will have the opportunity to receive Europass digital credentials or a supplementary document (diploma supplement) for the recognition of acquired knowledge and skills.
The "University Green Digital HUB" project lasts 24 months, and is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program, Key Activity 2: Partnerships for cooperation (for the field of higher education).
